Gregism : A thoughtful act of theatrical surprise made for someone else.
It starts with kindness.
It becomes more powerful through surprise.
And with a little theatre, it becomes something people never forget.
Where did it come from?
The idea comes from Gregory Robert Dancefreely Corbin, from the way he moved through the world and made people feel seen, delighted, and deeply loved.
After he died, we noticed a pattern in how he often created moments for others. We crystalized memories of the way he showed up for us into a simple formula anyone can use.
The Gregism Formula
Step 1 — Do a nice thing
Pay attention. What would make this specific person feel seen?
Step 2 — Delay your own gratification
Don’t reveal it too early. Let anticipation and timing do some of the work.
Step 3 — Add theatre
Presentation matters. Surprise matters. A little whimsy turns kindness into memory.
Pick one person.
Think of one thing that would genuinely light them up.
Hold it back long enough to make it land.
Then deliver it with style.
What does this person love?
What would make them feel unexpectedly delighted or understood?
How can I reveal it later instead of right away?
How can I make the delivery extra fun, dramatic, or memorable?
